Sorry, but your form of argumentation places you in the two digit range. Since we have no other evidence, two digit stays

we met them when i was a christian and we have kept in touch.
they had a few other friends there as well, including the new church pastor and his wife.

here we are on the cusp of the new year, and the 2017 yearbook of jws has still not been released.
jw.org continues to feature the 2016 yearbook in its list of main publications.
in previous years, the upcoming yearbook's annual report on jws was released in november for the january 1st then the feb 1st watchtower, then earlier in december when it was only featured in the yearbook, then more recently with a couple of days of december 25th.
Since we are in the business of predicting, I predict that it will be full of false optimism, and it will fail to mention the ARC and the bad press they get around the world (Portugal, Canada, U.S. England, Spain). It will contain an article about the persecution in Russia though.
on a previous post mamacita29 pointed up the low quality of new jw converts.. is the quality falling even more as the society use lower than low meeting, talks, broadcasts etc.. when i was active initially the organisation and standards seemed totally different today.
i have seen hard working intelligent elders fall by death or exhaustion.
the younger generation that came along never really grasped responsibility hence shortage of good elders, never mind the watered down to almost nothing quality of meetings.
Even the so-called deep Bible studies are replacement theory rubbish such as the Franz's anti-type cobblers and the UN stuff.
Diogenester,
True, is rubbish, but it's in line with the rubbish in the new and old testament. The apostle Paul and Matthew often twisted the Hebrew scriptures to force their own self serving interpretation. The same way was done by the Deuteronomic historian.
The point some of us are trying to make is that older generations of JW's knew their bible better than the present generation. Also the JW zeal level was much better before the 90's.

Quality of ex-JW's going down is a good things at two levels
1. It's evidence that is a dumb down religion whose members have no clue about their own religion or the Bible
2. is closely related to number one. It's so dumb that they can't even retain the current membership
Just a brief comment for those newbies who feel offended. It's true, the people who posted as late as five years ago very commonly were very intelligent and extremely knowledgeable about JW history, Bible and Christianity. Take Leolaia for example. The caliber of posts that she and many others gave us is rare nowadays.
hi i am posting for the first time although i've been looking for a few years , i was born into a witness family left when i was 12 with my parents went back at 22 pioneered became ms started to have major doubts around 2002 when there was a lot of talk about blood fractions etc have been hit and miss since i'm extremely mentally confused as to wether or not this really is jehovah's earthly organisation , i find life hard facing up to mortality etc not having the new system hope , what nailed your decision to leave ?
how did you cope with world problems on news etc ?
how did you fill the void ?
I have been an agnostic or atheist since my early teenage years, but for 20 years I found your religion a good one, simply because the members (lots of family and friends in) were good and nice people. My view took an 180 degree turn when I started researching, rather deeply, your religion, the history of Christianity, history of Christianity in the U.S., ancient history in the near East, Judaism. I concluded that any form of Christianity is utter bullshit, ranging from mild cults like the Catholics to the most extreme, high control and dangerous cults of death like the JW's. If you still believe in the Bible, then critically read the best books, Ecclesiastes and Job. They will bring some light into reality and help you to make better decisions. Today my favorite pass time is studying the Bible from an academic point of view. Much, much better than studying it under a control a cult.
so being someone who is not, however still believes around 70% of what the jw's talk about as far as the bible goes, ignoring the fact of no blood transfusions, shunning, etc.
wt doctrines, i got this question.
anybody really know how faithful 'worldly' (i use this term lightly 😉) women are these days?
Being religious is quite secondary. Faithfulness mostly depends how good you are to make her happy.
i have two honest questions for everyone here.
i understand that most here want retribution from the courts against watchtower for child abuse allegations.
but let us take away the instances where someone was accused of child abuse and then later put back into a position of authority, such as an elder or an ms. let us just take the cases where a regular publisher or even an appointed person, with no previous accusation of child abuse has come up against that person.
That is 1 per 60. If you have kids, and you are in a congregation of 120 publishers, you are exposing your kids continuously to 2 child abusers. Do you know them... or did the society not bother to inform you... good luck
Your calculations have to take into account that the 1006 cases happened over a period of more than 60 years. So your children have to remain children for 60 years and be regular JW's. It's not gonna work.
The situation is very bad as it is, but 2 child abusers per congregation at any given time is a gross exaggeration.
after i left the jws, i began to live a normal and mentally healthy life (i'm still working on living a physically healthy one) .
anyway, in 2011, i met the woman of my life and we have been together ever since.
and now we have a beautiful son who will turn 1 in january.
Congratulations! Have a happy new life!
Your son is quite lucky. Not only do you know how bad it could have been, but also you appreciate this new freedom better than most of us (never in a cult people), who take it for granted, and therefore fail to make the best of it.
there are two kingdom halls in two parts of the county i live in.
one is smaller and their are already about to begin work to replace with a new one.. just posting because i noticed posts saying their wasn't new khs being built.

"Replace" is the key word. No expansion
I look forward to your posting those pictures here and tell us the location.
i don't mean to be blasphemous to the real god.
i just don't think the god of the bible is our actual god.
and i think the god of the bible is not very bright.. i was thinking about the flood the other day.
